The plan for the next phase is to use a Siamese motor set up (two motors end to end). This will double the torque but half the top speed. But since this was never an issue I will take the extra torque. At the moment the electric motor consumes 500 amps on acceleration. That is more than the batteries can comfortably handle and I am at the maximum output the controller handles. So next round I plan to use 60 amp-hr CALB cells. At a 4 C rating they should be able to handle the 250 amps/string needed. That is double the rating of the current ThunderSky batteries.
